 I can safely say that my Amalfi Acoustics 2.5-TL transmission line speakers are the finest I will ever own. I have not heard their equal in any stand-alone pair I have ever experienced. The evenness of their response throughout the audible range is incredible, and the imaging quality is just as amazing. Even in the small space where they live, they expand the presence of the sound to that of a concert hall.
Sure, there are 7-channel systems that can beat this pair, but if you don’t have $100K or so to drop, I don’t know of anything that’s better than the B2.5’s. As an aside and speaking of 7-channel, I also own two pairs of Amalfi 551’s and a custom Amalfi sub-woofer that are the backbone of the surround system in my home theater. In its own right, this system is equally impressive.

 After listening to the Amalfi speakers I was very impressed with the quality of the sound reproduction. The low frequencies were warm and not over powering, the mids were clear, and the highs were crisp. The overall sound was very rich at both low and moderately high volumes. The cabinet designs are very nice as well and would compliment a range of interior designs, making the speakers not only a functional system with regards to audio, but a functional part of your living environment as well.

 I heard these speakers at the home of a friend in Baltimore, and after listening for a short while, my comment was that they were the best I had ever heard. I listened to quite a few systems several years ago before buying my Vienna Acoustics Mozart’s, and I’m still delighted with them. The Amalfi Acoustics 2.5-TL’s are, though, on a whole different level.

 I commissioned Amalfi Acoustics to create a custom set of speakers based on my explicit power, frequency, and room acoustic specifications. Given their track record, I knew they would deliver a high quality product. Did they ever! The frequency response is extremely flat over their entire frequency range, from the lowest of classic rock lows, through the operatic and pop vocals, right on to the highest of techno highs. The components and construction are excellent too  high performance drivers coupled with a printed circuit crossover and a precision milled cabinet that together guarantees years of listening pleasure. My Carver amplifier has a RMS power rating of 251 Watts per channel (stereo), and these speakers don t even break a sweat when filling the room with acoustic delight. At a mere 50 Watts, my neighbors are dancing in their yards. At 100, these cabinets are still just warming up. The more power you give them, the more they want. I have yet to experience any signs of distortion or clipping. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my speakers and recommend Amalfi Acoustics to all of my fellow audiophiles.Thank you Amalfi Acoustics for my custom speakers and for the years of listening bliss to come.

I am the proud owner of a custom-made pair of the Model 551s in white birch. I enjoy listening to a variety of types of music. It’s the elevating sound of instruments that attracts my ear, so having a pair of speakers that accurately places the instruments in a harmonious balance of sound is essential for my having an authentic listening experience. I enjoy the feeling of being there when I listen; whether it’s the crisp guitar chords in the intro of Adele's “Hello,” the magical and uplifting electronic tunes behind the vocals of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music Youth Chorale and Mr. Little Jeans in “Oh Sailor,” the strings being plucked by cellist Stephen Sharp Nelson when he layers 8 cellos in “Cello Song”, the flowing urban percussion of Yuna’s "Lullabies", or the vibrant sounds of the piano and trumpets in Mahalia Jackson’s “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho”, I can hear every brilliant note on my Model 551s. Music is an important part of my life, so the speakers are equally important. The Model 551s have excellent performance and build quality. They are about 18lbs each and every one who looks at them tries lifting them and the response is always the same. People, say “these are good heavy speakers” or “I can tell they are well built.” The wood finish is very beautiful. Everyone describes the sound as "crisp and clear." Dr. Whitney also gets 5 out of 5 stars for excellent customer service, technical assistance, and patience. He assisted me with the setup and provided great suggestions regarding the type of amplifier to purchase. He was friendly and professional throughout the process. Thanks Jim for the invitation to hear some of your speakers. I was very impressed with both the accuracy and imaging of the small bookshelf Model 651 and even more so with the Active Lab Reference speaker. Both speakers exhibited little coloration or distortion. I’m not a hi-fi buff but I have spent a lot time in recording studios and these speakers would be at home in the studio as playback and mixing / monitoring speakers. Accuracy is of paramount importance in the studio. Likewise, for anyone with a large investment in a home hi-fi system, and is interested in outstanding custom speakers, these would be a great addition. I wish you the best in marketing a fine product.
